The candidates in the Republican Primary race for governor currently have an equal standing with Montana Right to Life. We admire and respect their solid Pro-Life positions, but have not at this time endorsed any one candidate. Tom Keating, Pat Davison, Bob Brown and Ken Miller have an equal Pro-Life status at this time. We appreciate the Pro-Life work that all 4 Republican candidates have done in the past and look forward to working with any one of them as Governor. By the same token, Montana Right to Life has not endorsed either of the gubernatorial candidates on the Democratic ticket. It seems clear at this time that neither of these candidates is Pro-Life, by their own statements, reputation, or voting record, and it seems probable that they will follow the Democratic party line which
supports legalized abortion on demand. It is highly unlikely that one of them will receive an endorsement from Montana Right to Life at any time in the future.
